We Care Solar is an organization that  promotes safe motherhood and reduces maternal mortality in developing regions by providing health workers with reliable lighting, mobile communication, and blood bank refrigeration using solar electricity.

Their friendship with STEMCivics will extend to students' building solar-powered suitcases for deployment in these developing regions. This engineering activity fits perfectly with STEMCivics's culture of caring, collaborating, and community. In addition, STEMCivics expects to provide some students with the privilege of personally deploying the suitcases in these developing regions.
