Why We're Special

Academics

STEMCivics provides a rigorous academic program in a nurturing environment, ensuring students are prepared to succeed in college and career. The graduation requirements exceed the minimum levels of the NJ Department of Education. The course offerings are project- and career-based, and give students unique opportunities to learn and grow.

STEM is threaded throughout the students' experiences. Classes one day a month will be held at the Liberty Science Center. Students study alongside professionals from the EPA, USGS, and NJDEP. The Project Lead the Way engineering curriculum and FIRST Robotics extra-curricular program are the gold standards in their respective areas. We Care Solar gives students the opportunity to build solar-powered suitcases for hospitals in developing countries. Students become citizen scientists with the help of SciStarter.
