May 29, 2015: The Path of Our Everyday Heroes

Our Everyday Heroes are JANJ Heroes for a Day

MAY 29, 2015  Approximately fifteen of the best kids ever devoted a day this week to teach students at Mott Elementary School in Trenton as part of the Junior Achievement of New Jersey"s High School Heroes Program. This JANJ concept is an activity-based financial literacy and workforce readiness curriculum taught over the course of one school day.

The activities blended instruction for an entire class with small-group and individual interactions. The STEMCivics students fit PURPLEfectly into this design, which requires a nurturing and kind approach when working with young children.

A few of the PURPLEfect people came back saying they could see themselves as teachers. We"d hire them.
